False teaching examples for ‘activating an anointing’ found on Google
Alarming numbers of Christians worldwide are falling into a ‘deception pandemic’
With just one easy google search, thousands if not hundreds of thousands (maybe even millions) of results are ready to serve you up an apocalyptic cult-like mixture of Jim Jones-type KoolAid for the drinking. Millions of church attendees all over the world are drinking up the deadliest lies of the times and in their own words are “drunk in the [Holy] Spirit.” These Christians have next to no discernment and have been led to believe all the wrong things about what the Word of God actually teaches about biblical truth, and have little to no real understanding of biblical doctrine or exegesis.
Disclaimer: There is such a thing as “activation” as that is an actual word. For example, there is the “activation” of our immune systems, our brains, and many other things in this life as well. But when it comes to spiritual gifts—those are given to each believer as decided by the Holy Spirit, not us—and He is the One Who ‘works’ (displays) them in and through us. There is nothing you nor I will ever have to do to have God the Holy Spirit make His gifts operate through us, as you will never find that anywhere in the Bible. The goal of this article isn’t to have you like me or what I have to say—it’s to declare truth and rescue people out of deception. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says we “destroy” arguments (and every lofty opinion) raised against the knowledge of God… whereas those in the hyper-charismatic movement are always looking for a new revelation or ‘word’ rather than obeying the Word we already have. If you don’t like what I am showing you here, then please leave and have a wonderful day. Before you leave though, I do have one question for you — “who have you offended with the gospel today?“
“If you can see it, you can have it…”
People in the Church today are following their favorite teachers rather than the Bible. They have a twisted view of Who the Holy Spirit actually is. Many are measuring the validity of truth based upon how excited their teacher delivers the KoolAid (message). Ephesians 5:11 tells us to “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” Do yourself a favor and actually examine what is really being said by Patricia King in one of her many teaching videos whereby in her video below, she “wants to help you ‘cultivate your seer anointing.’”
Examples of Patricia King misquoting Scripture from her video
Scripture being referenced by her:
Genesis 13:15 (ESV)
“for all the land that you see, I will give to you and to your offspring forever.”
Patricia King’s misinterpretation:
It is so important to be able to see… if you see it, you can have it.”
Whatever you see, I’m going to give it to you.”
As you are about to see and hear, Patricia King in her video below clearly misquotes what God had said to Abram in Genesis 13:15 by using bad hermeneutics and exegesis in her referring the meaning back to her/ourselves in a problematic and incorrect way—whether she is aware she is doing this or not (as I believe most likely not), even though it all sounds quite eloquent, Ms. King goes on to teach the masses other deadly errors by self-imposing her heretical ideas into the Bible where they do not exist! I’m sure Ms. King is sincerely wanting to do good to those she is teaching—but if you’re on the wrong path and yet, in reality, are lost even though you’re sincerely believing you know the way …no matter how good your intentions are, you’ll still end up at the wrong destination at the end of the day no matter how nice, loving and kind you sincerely are.
See if you can identify the errors in King’s message
“If you can see it, you can have it!”
More horrific quotes by Patricia King
There is a ‘law of observation of fact’ which means if you can see it, …in your mind’s eye or understanding, it will actually start to collapse the quiff, …which means collapsing that which you can see out of the invisible realm into the visible realm.”
She goes onto explain that for people in business…
If they can see it, if they can perceive it, it will actually come out of the dream realm into the natural realm.”
As you dream with God and partner, with God… and see what He sees, it will actually collapse it out of the invisible realm where it’s not manifested yet, into a place of manifestation—if you see it, you can have it. Now we just happen to be in a season right now in the body of Christ, where the seer anointing is escalating.”
Patricia King goes on to say that…
I saw the flu epidemic coming to an end.”
Really? Anyone can say that as that is guaranteed to happen at some point regardless of what anyone sees. She then continues with…
But you see it first and activate your faith towards it.”
How completely dangerous! And yet so many of her followers are right there on social media to cheer her on and affirm her statements with a big “Yes it is!” and “So true!” without ever questioning if her statements are actual biblically true or not.
Patricia King’s “Activation and Seer Anointing” online deals
On her private Facebook group page, she uses ‘catch-phrase’ marketing names and slogans such as her online mentoring system called the ‘A-team Online Mentorship’ to “Activate, Accelerate and Access your full potential.” She teaches “‘how to activate the mind of Christ’ in your life.” I didn’t know you needed your mind in Christ to be ‘activated’ because the Bible never teaches that. Interestingly enough, if you [quote] “sign-up today” then you’ll get a two-for-one deal on “‘boosting your brainpower’ teaching, and ‘activation and the seer anointing.’” What a deal! Also, she has intercessors who “decree” over you every single day.
If you are following these false ‘prophets’ and teachers, I implore you to come out from them and get back to the Scriptures. Learn how to apply proper hermeneutics (a methodology of interpretation—the ‘how’ to study the Bible) and exegesis (a process which helps us not impose an inappropriate interpretation upon Scripture) and know what the Bible actually says.

What is Eisegesis?
2 Corinthians 4:2
“Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.”
Eisegesis is basically reading into or forcing the Bible (or a text) what isn’t there, thus forcing a self-imposed meaning that does not exist into that passage to satisfy one’s idea, belief, or a whim. This is in opposition to good exegesis which means “to lead out” or “draw out” what the Bible is actually saying in accordance with the author’s context and discoverable meaning.
What does Genesis 13:15 really mean?
In the previous verse, the LORD instructed Abram to lift up his eyes and to look in every direction. Abram may have been standing at an elevated spot north of Bethel, which would have given a good view of the territories all around him. There, the LORD reiterates His promise to Abram. God will give to Abram and his descendants all the land that he can see, and it will be theirs forever. In fact, this adds to the promise God had given to Abram earlier, both in the scope of the land and in the eternal possession of it.
Earlier verses described Lot “lifting his eyes” by his own will (Genesis 13:10) to look at the region of Sodom. This might be a spiritual parallel to Eve’s assessment of the fruit in Eden (Genesis 3:6). Here, however, Abram has only “lifted his eyes” at the request of God. This, if nothing else, demonstrates Abram’s growing trust and submission to God.
And one last thing…
If someone gives you ‘a word,’ that’s not found in the Word, then that word is NOT from God!”
How NOT to read the Bible—really bad Eisegesis!
